JULIA WILKINS

Julia is an eighteen year old actor and award winning writer from New Zealand. She's always loved the arts, taking drama lessons from age seven, and writing from before she could actually write (she'd dictate her stories to her Mum, prolific short story author Anne Wilkins, who would type them for her). Julia was the winner of both Elegant Literature's competition for the Sinister Sanctuaries issue, and the 2022 Barfoot and Thompson Short Story Competition for the High School Category. Her work can be found in Elegant Literature issues, the ToiToi Journal, and WriteOn magazine. Julia was recently nominated for Best Lead Actor at the Auckland Showdown Awards for her portrayal of Biddy Andreas in Three Birds Alighting on a Field. Chosen by two feline writing assistants as the best-thrower-of-toy-mice in the household, she often finds herself tossing toys for them to chase.
